That's pretty much where i'm going. The nice thing about the cable video feed is that there's no point of origin the viewer needs to imput in order to get going, though. The draw of television will always be the mediums ability to present content as the producers wish it to be seen, (tivo not withstanding) and I suspect that in many instances the viewer will prefer that.

I agree about the cable news networks - they're all competing together and with national newscasts from the broadcast networks for the same international news. The local news will prevail on television, but everyone will get sick of that and head to the internet like you say.
